About ScentLedger
An independent, crowdsourced price guide for the fragrance secondary market.
What we do
ScentLedger tracks community-submitted listings for tens of thousands of fragrances and reports the median secondary-market price by bottle size, alongside listing counts, recent activity, and historical trends. Whether you're trying to figure out what your bottle is worth, what a fair trade looks like, or whether a discontinued release has held its value, the goal is to give you a single, honest data point to anchor the decision.
Who runs it
ScentLedger is built and operated by an independent developer and longtime fragrance enthusiast. The site is not owned by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any fragrance house, retailer, or auction platform. There are no paid placements in the price data — every listing is treated identically by the same canonicalization and aggregation pipeline.
How the data works
A short explanation of the calculation lives on the dedicated methodology page. The short version: every submitted listing is matched to a canonical fragrance entry, normalized to a per-milliliter price, bucketed by bottle size, and aggregated as a robust median rather than a mean — so a single $1,500 vintage outlier doesn't pull the published number out of shape.
Editorial independence and corrections
Pricing data is reported as-is from community submissions and is not verified against retail invoices. We make no claim that any displayed price reflects what a specific bottle will sell for at a specific moment — only that it represents the central tendency of recently observed listings. If you spot a listing or canonical entry that looks wrong, the in-app feedback button on every page goes directly to a real human (me) and is reviewed within a few days.
